Abstract

The influence of the intensity of playing online games not only affects students' discipline but also of course affects achievement and others. Online games also of course have their advantages and disadvantages, one example of the advantages is increasing concentration. Also one of the disadvantages is that it reduces the health and discipline of students. The problem formulation of this research is How high is the intensity of playing online games, How high is the student's discipline, Is there an influence of the intensity of playing online games on the discipline of students at Darul Hidayah Cigalontang Tasikmalaya Vocational School. The purpose of this research is to determine the intensity of students playing online games, to determine the level of student discipline, to analyze the influence of the intensity of students playing online games on student discipline at Darul Hidayah Cigalontang Tasikmalaya Vocational School. The approach used in this research is quantitative using associative research methods. Meanwhile, to collect data using observation techniques, interviews, questionnaires. These techniques are used to collect data about the intensity of playing online games on student discipline. Meanwhile, analysis can be done through statistical calculations using the correlation formula.The results of the research, it turns out that the influence of the intensity of playing online games is categorized as "sufficient" based on the average calculation of 30.39 with an interval of 29-32 with the normal category based on the results of x2count 13.1 and x2table 13.3 so that x2count < x2table. Students are categorized as "sufficient" based on an average of 31.6 with an interval of 29-32 and categorized as normal based on the results of x2count 18.59 and x2table 13.3 so that x2count > x2table... And the Influence of Intensity of Playing Online Games on Student Discipline in Darul Hidayah Cigalontang Tasikmalaya Vocational School includes moderate or sufficient correlation. As is known from the results of the correlation coefficient of 0.69. This means that between these two variables there is a significant influence. Thus, the higher the intensity of playing online games, the lower the student's discipline.
